Well Blainer is back and its time to revive this thread and do some upgrading to the BODY and DRIVETRAIN!

Let the upgrading begin.

Ever since my car was painted, there has been a flaw bugging the crap out of me on the deck lid and I got a small rock chip and ding on the hood a little bit ago. So I made the hard decision to put the car under the sandpaper. As some of you know I got a hood from an early 83 GT hood with reverse hood scoop a while ago. So I figured why have a perfectly good early 83 GT hood just sitting in my garage? Lets put er on the car!

Right now she is sitting at the Body shop getting the deck sanded down to metal to fix the errors in the deck lid and replace the hood with the 83 GT hood. She looks so sad with all the dust on her Sad

I have also Bought the hood strut kit to replace the prop rod because in early '83 they put a small prop rod on the driver's side fender. Secondly I purchased a MM strut tower brace and Mac Pro Dumps to free up space in the rear for my "upcoming mods".

Yes, she is going to stay in my stable till my son is old enough to drive her. I won't get what I want for her so she is going to stay.

Here she is all done.

I picked up some 3M blackout tape and applied it to the rear 1/4 window trim. It turned out quite well as as a cheaper and safer alernative to painting and risk damage to the car.
